Our team would like to understand your experiences of living with endometriosis, especially the financial burden of endometriosis and the potential language barriers to the delivery of endometriosis information by healthcare providers.

This study is being conducted by researchers at Deakin University and the University of Western Sydney, in conjunction with the Endo Help Foundation. The project aims to advance our knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of the financial and communication issues influencing people with endometriosis. Outcomes from this study may be used to inform and guide interventions targeted at managing financial security, enhancing practitioner-patient relationships, and improving diagnosis and support for people with endometriosis.

Who can participate?

Any person aged 18 years or older, with a diagnosis of endometriosis and residing in Australia is invited to participate in this project via an online survey.

What does the research involve?

We will ask you to complete an anonymous online survey which will ask you general information about yourself such as age, gender identity and country of birth and questions about your overall physical and mental wellbeing. You will also be asked questions about the impact of your endometriosis on carer responsibilities and financial security, as well as the different types of endometriosis advice you have received, and the influence of language used by professionals in discussing endometriosis. We expect that this survey would take approximately 30 minutes of your time to complete, and all answers will collected anonymously
