Researchers at Curtin Medical Research Institute are currently recruiting for a clinical study investigating a new intervention that may provide pain relief in endometriosis. The study is investigating whether two nutraceuticals can help reduce endometriosis-associated pain and improve the quality of life for individuals experiencing moderate to severe endometriosis pain.

Who can participate?
You may be eligible to participate if you:
Have a confirmed diagnosis of endometriosis (via laparoscopy, MRI or ultrasound),
Live in Perth, Western Australia,
Are aged between 18-45 years old,
Are not currently pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy within the next 56 weeks.
What does the research involve?
The study consists of an 8-week baseline period, 32-week intervention period (daily dosing of the study nutraceuticals) and a 16-week follow-up period.
The study length is 56 weeks, which includes 4 study visits (approximate duration 30-45 minutes per visit). Participants will need to complete an electronic pain questionnaire and pain medication log weekly (approximately 10 minutes per week). Participants will be required to take the study nutraceuticals for 32 weeks. At 3 of the study visits, a small sample of blood will be collected. On the final study day, participants will be asked to complete 4 final electronic questionnaires (approximate duration 20-30 minutes). The total time spread over the 56 weeks is approximately 12.5 hours.
